Wix vs Contractor Autopilot
Wix is $17–$39/mo for the website only, up to $159/mo for their top business plan — and it is one piece of your business. Contractor Autopilot is $149–$499/mo flat for the whole company, unlimited users: one source of truth, 60+ features from the missed call to the paid invoice. No integrations to build, nothing to keep in sync.
What Wix does well
Wix is flexible and cheap, and the AI site builder gets something presentable up fast.
Best for: Getting a site online yourself in a weekend.
Where it leaves you exposed
- →A general-purpose template is not built to make a contractor's phone ring — no click-to-call bar, no local service pages, no quote flow into a pipeline.
- →Form submissions land in an inbox, not in a system that follows up.
- →Everything after the click — the call, the quote, the job, the invoice, the review — is still yours to buy and to do.
One app for the whole business — finally
Your website knows nothing about your business, and your business knows nothing about your website.
The call, the lead, the quote, the job, the invoice, the review and the website all live on the same customer record. Your whole crew and your office get their own login — we never charge per seat.
Get found, capture leads, quote & close, run jobs, get paid — the whole business, not one slice of it.
No Zapier, no CSV exports, no paying a consultant to wire your tools together every time something changes.
The time it gives you back
Stop being the integration between your site, your phone and your notepad. One record, from the form fill to the review request.
What it really costs to run Wix
Until now, nobody ran a contracting business on one app. Here is the rest of the bill you are still paying.
| Wix | $17–$59/mo |
| CRM / pipeline | $50–$200/mo |
| Quoting + invoicing | $30–$150/mo |
| Answering service | $300+/mo |
| Reviews + social | $50–$150/mo |
| Typical all-in | $450–$860/mo across 5 vendors |
| Contractor Autopilot — all of it, one bill | $149–$499/mo |
Stack costs are typical published US market rates for each category, August 2026. Your numbers will vary — run our free business review and we will price your actual stack.
What it costs at 1, 5 and 10 people
Their price grows with your crew. Ours does not — every plan is unlimited users, so the tenth hire costs you nothing in software.
| Crew size | Wix | + what it doesn't include | Their all-in | Contractor Autopilot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Just you | $30/mo | $900/mo | $930/mo | $499/mo |
| 5 people | $30/mo | $900/mo | $930/mo | $499/mo |
| 10 people | $30/mo | $900/mo | $930/mo | $499/mo |
At five people that is $930 a month — more than Autopilot Pro — and it still does not answer your phone, build your website, or ask your customers for reviews.
Same money buys the whole business instead of one slice of it: 60+ features across all five stages, unlimited users, one bill.
Wix column uses their published list price, read 14 September 2026. "What it doesn't include" is the same basket every time: answering service ~$300, website and hosting ~$150, reviews and social ~$100, local SEO help ~$300. Our column is Autopilot Pro at $499/mo — everything, unlimited users. Starter is $149 and Autopilot is $399.

The honest verdict
Wix is a fine way to have a website. It is not a way to run a contracting business, and the four tools you buy to fill the gap cost more than we do.
We aren't for everyone
Stay on Wix if any of this is you. We would rather lose the sale than take money from a contractor we make worse off.
- —You enjoy building the site yourself and being found on Google is not on your list this year. If nobody needs to answer the phone or chase a quote, a builder is cheaper than us.
- —Your books live in QuickBooks Desktop. Our QuickBooks connection is not live in production yet, and there is no two-way Desktop sync coming. Do not break month-end for a website.
- —You run 10 or more techs with memberships, commission plans and a real dispatch board. That is ServiceTitan's job. We would be a downgrade and we will say so.
- —You are mid-contract. What you still owe on a term deal is real money, not sunk cost — put us on your renewal date instead of paying two bills.
- —You already have more leads than you can work and only need to send invoices. A bundle you do not use is not a saving.
None of that you? Then the rest of this page is worth your ten minutes.
Questions contractors ask
Do I have to give up my Wix site?
No. Keep it and use us for the phone, quoting and jobs — or point your domain at the site we build for you when you are ready.
